Every great object carries the memory of its making. La Llegada is the experience of receiving yours in person — not from a courier, not in a crate, but from the maker's hands, in the studio where it was created, in the landscape that inspired every knot it contains.
Six moments, from Valencia Airport to the terrace at dusk.
A private car meets you the moment you land — no signs, no waiting. Water, local press. The drive through the Valencia countryside begins. Approximately 35 minutes to the village.
Julia takes you into the Sierra Calderona — the natural park that provides the palette and the raw inspiration for every work she makes. You walk where she walks when she is thinking about a new piece. You see what she sees.
Lunch in the village — regional food, wines of the Valencia D.O., the unhurried pace of a place that has not changed in centuries. Julia and Jeroen host you as a guest, not as a client. No schedule. No rush.
A working studio — ropes on the floor, works in progress on the wall. Julia shows you where your piece was made: the rack it hung from, the tools that shaped it, the samples that preceded it. Ask everything.
Julia walks you through every decision in your commission — the material, the structure, the moments where the work changed direction. You understand, for the first time, what your piece cost in patience. What it contains.
Your piece, in your hands, from the hands that made it. Certificate of making. Provenance document. A photographic record of the day. Then aperitivo on the terrace as the Sierra turns the colour of the rope your work was made from.

La Llegada is available to every client who commissions a work with Del Arroyo. It is arranged around the completion of your piece — you are contacted when it is ready, and the date is chosen entirely at your convenience.
La Llegada is complimentary for all commissions above a certain scale.
For smaller works, a modest contribution to travel costs applies.
